Designed by Jose Gancedo and opened in 1991, Las Ramblas lies in a mountainous area of rough terrain. The keynotes of this winding course are the difficult shots with large dry water holes, many trees and water obstacles as well as narrow fairways and greens. Las Ramblas requires the golfer to use great precision when hitting the ball, as the fairways can be very demanding.
The course is fairly hilly with ravines, which can be up to 30 metres deep, and other water hazards which make the course totally different from all the others. It is protected from the wind by many trees and these can also be found on the several fairways.
