Guadalmina South is the older of the two eighteen hole Guadalmina courses. It also offers a short nine hole round. The South course was designed by Javier Arena in 1959 and is famous for its high difficulty level and is therefore most suitable for experienced players.
It has wide fairways, without rough or water hazards. The South course meanders toward the sea, with tree lined fairways adding to its character. The river comes into play on eight of these holes.
