The Costa del Sol is the perfect golfing location with over 30 golf courses to choose from and some of the best weather in Europe. Since Valderrama hosted the Ryder Cup in 1997, the locals have claimed - justifiably - this area to be 'Costa del Golf'.

One of the latest must play courses is El Chaparral near to Mijas. It is a rejuvenated golf course having been closed down some years ago. Make sure you take a look at our golf page for El Chaparral as it offers a great value for money new addition to the area.

Another course to recommend is Santa Clara which is next to the main coast road, which together with Santa Maria is easily accessible. Slightly further along is Mijas, La Cala Resort and Torrequebrada all easily reached by golfers staying in the area.

Los Flamingos Golf Club is based just off the coast road; it has pitched its green fee price at the exclusive end of the range. It is situated between El Paraíso, Monte Mayor and the Marbella Club Resort. Los Arqueros is an excellent value for money course laid slightly off the cost road into the hills. It offers a great alternative to those golfers staying in the Marbella/ Puerto Banus areas.
