The Costa de Almeria is becoming ever more popular with golfers looking to get more for their money and wanting virtually guaranteed weather. The area has over 3,000 hours of sunshine making it the ideal all year round golf destination.

The area is generally split into two distinct sections for golf, there are four courses, La Envia, Playa Serena, Alboran Golf and Golf Almerimar in one region within easy access of Roquetas de Mar and Almerimar. To the north of the region is Desert Springs, Marina Golf and Valle del Este close to the tourist towns of Vera and Mojacar.

For the golfing package we would particularly recommend the Hotel Almerimar which is situated on the Almerimar Golf course and staying at the hotel includes free golf. As an alternative we like the Hotel Valle del Este near Vira, it is slightly more away from bars and restaurants but is set in the middle of the Valle del Este golf course. If you have the time then a must play course is Desert Springs set in rugged desert terrain.
